Tamara + Nolan | FRASER RIVER LODGE WEDDING | Alexandra Hunt Photography

 Tamara and Nolan's wedding was held at the gorgeous Fraser River Lodge in Agassiz, British Columbia. I had the pleasure of second shooting for my friend, the ever lovely and professional Rebecca Sehn.  Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Tamara and Nolan had an absolutely gorgeous wedding, in a countryside setting that literally could not get any prettier. With a big blue skies and a love like theirs, it was an absolute treat to photograph. Thank you Tamara, Nolan, and Rebecca, for letting me share in this special day!

Mountains as backdrops? Yes please!

Nothing like a good-natured ribbing to put any nerves to rest!

Could you ask for a prettier wedding day? I think not!

 

 

 

 We walked to a nearby walnut grove for portraits. If you're a regular reader of this blog, you know I love trees! :)

Tamara had the sweetest (and prettiest!) group of bridesmaids !

 

I love capturing the special relationship between a bride and her closest friends.

Tamara was a bride after my own heart: there was dozens of beautiful hand-crafted touches at her wedding reception.

Check out this adorable pane-glass window seating chart! To die for!

Love-saying drinking straws by the bar and a card bird cage:

Wildflowers in lace and burlap-wrapped mason jars, cleverly folded programs, white jelly beans in mini mason jars, wrapped in twine and resting on lace doilies....

Tamara made all of the gorgeous paper chandeliers! Super bride!

 Vintage spoons for each member of the wedding party:

Tamara had some of the most creative table centerpieces I have ever seen. White tin lanterns balanced on vintage hard-cover books, a bouquet of wildflowers and buttons in rustic embellished mason jars, hand-made table signs. Like I said, a girl after my own heart. :)

The table flower arrangements also featured dangling wooden hearts and button posies mixed in with the live blooms.

 Paper rosettes dotted the walls, and hand-stamped signs rested on mini easels at each table.

 

 Origami cranes awaited each guest, nestled in wine glasses...

Tamara and Nolan, it was a pleasure and a privilege to help capture your wedding day. Best wishes to both of your for a long and happy marriage! :)

ENGAGED 2012 | CONTESTS | Alexandra Hunt Photography

I've had a wonderful year, and have SO enjoyed celebrating the relationships between my clients. Before I'm completely booked up for 2012 weddings, I thought I'd spread the love and have a very special contest! If you've recently become engaged, and are looking for a fabulous photographer - well, gorgeous, this is for you!

 

I'll be a vendor at the Cinderella Bridal Show at the Pacific Inn in White Rock, BC on January 8th, 2012.  If you are getting married at a Lower Mainland venue between April 2012 to May 2013, you can win your wedding photography coverage!* 

Just show up at the show, find my booth, and once you've said hello to me and my team (and made sure that we're available on your wedding date), fill out an entry form and get a snapshot taken of yourself in our photobooth! All of the entrants' photos will be added to a Facebook album, and at midnight that night, you, your friends, and your friends' friends will be able to vote for you by clicking the "like" button! You have until February 12th to round up votes and win!

Easy peasy - and a super sweet opportunity! :)

1. Attend the Cinderella Bridal Show at the Pacific Inn in White Rock, BC on January 8th, 2012. There is no admittance fee to the show. Entries will only be accepted at the show.

2. Find the Alexandra Hunt Photography booth and say hello! Feel free to look at my sample products and albums!

3. Make sure your wedding date is available by checking with one of my associates. Unfortunately, if we're already booked on your wedding date, you won't be able to enter the contest. (Current clients: you ARE eligible, but please check the rules below for more details)

Your wedding venue MUST be officially booked, and must be in BC's Lower Mainland (within 50 km of our Langley studio).

4. Your date is still available? Great! Fill out the entry form and give it to one of my associates!

Let's take a moment to admire my mad doodling skills. ;)

5. Pose for a snapshot in our photobooth! Either the bride or groom or BOTH must be in the snapshot, but you are welcome to bring in a girlfriend, mom, etc, in for company as well if you so wish!

On February 12th at midnight (Pacific time), the grand prize will be awarded to the couple with the most votes/likes on their Facebook entry picture!

After the entry period closes, Alexandra will add the submitted couples' pictures to an album on the Alexandra Hunt Photography Facebook page.  

Each couple may ask their friends, family, or other associates, to "vote" for their picture by clicking the "like" button.

Each "like" for a couple's picture equals one vote. 

NOTE: As per Facebook rules, in order to "like" a couple's picture, friends and family must first "like" the Alexandra Hunt Photography Facebook page. LIKE the page first, then LIKE the entry picture!

 Please read the following rules before submitting your entry. Copies of these rules will be distributed upon entry as well.

1. No purchase necessary.

2. Entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry.

3. Entrants must be engaged at the time of entry.

4. Entrants must have a wedding day officially set between the months of April 2012 to May 2013 only. Potential entrants will be refused admission to the contest if the studio has already booked the same wedding date for another couple. Their wedding date must be officially booked (not tentatively decided or hoped-for) at the time of entry.

5. Entrants must be holding their ceremony and reception in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia (within 50km of the studio). Their venue must be officially booked at the time of entry.

6. Entrants must not already have a wedding photographer at the time of entry, or for the duration of the contest. Failure to disclose a previous booking is grounds for immediate disqualification.

7. Current clients of Alexandra Hunt Photography are permitted to enter the contest, with the following restrictions: If a current wedding client should win the contest, they will be given an alternative prize. Their prize will be a choice of either a) one hour of photo booth coverage, or b) a discount equal to half of their remainder, off of the remainder payment. Taxes will still be applicable, and will be applied after the new total (b). Any other special offers, awards, or promotions (garnered in the past through merit or action or offered to all clients in the future) cannot be combined or collected with said prize. This prize cannot be transfered, refunded, or redeemed for cash.

8. An excess of 5 votes from fake Facebook profiles for one couple will be considered grounds for disqualification of the couple. Emailed warnings will be given prior to disqualification.

9. Cheating, in any shape or form, will not be tolerated. A couple found cheating will be disqualified immediately.

10. In the interests of all contestants, no foul language, threats, slander, or verbal abuse either directed toward or spoken about another contestant will be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to, Facebook wall posts, Facebook status posts, Facebook private messages, email, twitter, or blog posts. Contestants found violating this rule will be disqualified immediately and further action may be taken as appropriate. 

11. Entrants may vote for themselves (once per individual), or for other contestants as desired.

12. Friends and family are permitted to vote for more than one contestant if they know multiple entrants personally.

13. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash. Unclaimed prizes may not be transferred to other persons or a future point in time. No substitutions.

14. The contest prize(s) may not be combined with any other special offers or promotions.

15. Contest winner may upgrade their wedding package or purchase additional fine art prints or products at current studio rates.

16. This contest is not endorsed, affiliated, sponsored, or otherwise endebtted to Facebook in anyway. 

17. This contest has been designed in compliance with current Facebook terms and conditions regarding business promotions.

18. Grand prize conditional upon the signing of a wedding contract and model release. In the interest of fairness, good sportsmanship, and the importance of the photographer - client relationship, Alexandra Hunt Photography reserves the right to disqualify entrants or to revoke contest winnings as she may see fit.

19. If the contest winner is disqualified, refuses prize, does not claim prize with 1 week of contest closing (by signing a wedding contract and model release), the second place winner will be awarded the grand prize instead.

20. Falsifying or withholding pertinent wedding information, or otherwise failing to follow contest rules is grounds for immediate disqualification and/or revoking of prizes.

21. Professional photographers are not allowed entry to this contest.

22. Contest entrants give permission to post their images online for the purposes of the contest.

23. Entry only permitted within the hours off 11am to 5pm on January 8th, 2012, at the Cinderella Bridal Show at the Pacific Inn. Emailed entries before and after the show will not be permitted.
